Yearbook and a thank you.

If I could say that I am thankful for something from my high school career, it would have to be yearbook. I have made plenty of friends, and Ms. Wadycki, Mrs. Verpooten and Mr. hastings have all been nothing but extremely nice, and outstanding teachers. There is seriously no better way to end my final year in highschool then spending it in a class full of genuinely awesom kids, journalistic projects and page creation as well as my awesome advisors. Farewell highschool, and thank you to everyone who has been kind or supportive to me within these times that we all call highschool.

so high school is coming to a close, and im pretty excited to leave this place. All of the jerks and idiots I have had to endure through my career as a high school student wont bother me anymore. I honestly cannot wait.

I woke up way too early today

it is really throwing me off, and yesterday was just a tad bit upsetting. Working on Jon's page made me tear up a bit, and my dog had another seizure yesterday, which I happened to witness as well. Things were just kind of rough yesterday, still kind of feeling a little down.

THE SWEATSHIRTS CAME IN, and they are oh so beautiful. I ordered an xl, just to be safe and it fits pretty well, maybe ill shrink it a bit. Either way, i love it! Im definitely proud of spending my senior year as a staff member!!

Cold World and harms way

The show i have been waiting for is finally coming up weekend, showcasing chicago's finest from the hardcore scene. Im hoping to actually be able to make it out and shoot some photos so i can actually have some physical record of these bands for once. I hope it just turns out as well as my last batch of photos, i was really proud of those and they had plenty of great feedback on my tumblr blog. Who knows, only time will tell !

This week

needs to end, im so exhausted. Ive been helping my mom out at the flower shop she works at, and i have had absolutely no time to relax and its been hard to get to bed lately. The week really just needs to end so i can FINALLY relax and get some much needed rest, but of course i have to go back today, and help out some more. Exhaustion, here i come.

Tattoos

Yesterday I went with my best pal kyle to get his new tattoo done, it looks so great! He;s really excited about it, and im pretty excited for him! Makes me want to consider one in the future...

Sleep

I havent had much sleep lately, and it sucks. Im so ridiculously tired and have 0 motivation to do anything at all. I NEED SLEEP NOW. Yeah, uhm matt is being weird right now, its good.

Too much food

I ate way too much food yesterday, and my stomach still hurts so bad, bu im still hungry. I feel sick but i want more food, what do I do omg. :[

Looking for a job.

This has to be one of the hardest things, considering every application I have sent in has been declined or denied. Wonderful! It blows my mind to know rude people at wendy's and such can hold jobs, but respectable kids like me who are willing to work and have a kind attitude towards anyone dont even have a chance to hold one! This day and age is nuts, i tell ya'.

Yesterday..

Was probably one of the best school days I have had in a while. I found some cool puppy pictures and taped them to my shirt, then after school i got to relax and watch some movies with jenna
! Ps: The movie "Beastly" wasnt as bad as I thought hahahaha. #yolo

tonight!!!

I am going to see Ceremony with my girlfriend Jenna and my pal Mike. They are one of my favorite bands, and I couldnt be more excited to witness their live performance. Hopefully my pictures will turn out as well!

Today

its rainy out, and im not technically in the greatest of moods. Im going to jenna's today which should be nice, but i couldnt help feeling down in the dumps today. Hopefully things will turn around sooner or later.

This week

has been rough, ive been waking up late everyday, and im exhausted and just growing tired of everything. I need sleep, and to at least make something out of the rest of the school year.

Saturday

Im going to see No Zodiac, Smashed In and Bitter thoughts. This show is going to be awesome on account it will be No Zodiac's video shoot. Stoked on it!(:

Today

is alright, i recently discovered there is a FAZOLIS in valporaiso. That place rules, so hard. I think kyle and i are going to drive up to valpo today, get fazolis, thennn go to galactic greg's to check out some warhammer stuff, this could be a cool day, but i do have homework, as well.:/

The Rumble

is coming up, it is a huge hardcore show in chicago. Its a two day event packed with awesome bands. Im really hoping i can amke it out this year, and possibly shoot photos. That should rule.

Tomorrow,

is my birthday, and i mturning 18. I really dont want to considering ill be considered an adult. Growing up sucks, and all i can say is i really hope that i dont forget who I am or where I came from when im older. Welllllll, im still excited, considering i get to eat a ton of good food tomorrow...(:

Photo Assignment

So today were doing a photo assignment in journalism. It reminds me alot of the assignments we did in photo! I love cameras, journalism, taking photos, and I have the best teacher ever, MRS. WADYCKI!

Questioning My Photo Work.

Lately i have been having second thoughts about my photo work, wondering if it is as up to par with other people's photos like Alvin Carillo's or my girlfirend Jenna's photos, or even some of my other friends like Allison and Zach. I feel like my composition is constantly off, and everyone else seems to be generally more happy with the turn out of their photos than I am. I feel that im either really bad at taking photos, too hard on myself, or that i just need to really step up my game and focus on composition and such. Its just htat i have been having some conflicting emotions with my work the last few days i have been skimming through it. Well, the only thing I can do now is try to make a change in my work, or to try and find insight from someone else, but im thinking I should probably go this one alone. This seems like an issue best solved by me, but at the same time, I feel that i need an outside opinion to guide me in a direction that sets a goal for me to strive for. I dont know, it has just been eating at me for a while now, wondering if my photos actually satnd out, or are worth looking at.
